A first for me....

I have looked at many blogs where stitching is used and have always wanted to give it a go and so I finally got around to it and although I think I need a bit more practice I will try again. This is the card I have done, once again using the super cute teddy bee image....

I printed this one out on Kraft card, another first me and used prismacolor pencils to colour it in.
I used my new Fleur De Lis Rectangles nestabilities to cut the image out and also a crochet flower with a Kaisercraft pearl brad in pink ice.
I would like to enter this into
that wants girls birthday
and
anything goes.
Hope you have a great weekend!

The teddy bo challenge

Well I know that we are over easter now, but I could not resist this oh so cute teddy bo in rabbit costume to put into the http://teddybochallenge.blogspot.com/ that wants to see easel cards.

I have used the SU scalloped die to make the card and then cut another out in the ice cream paper that I got as free in a magazine. I have then cut another one out in the blue pearlised sheet and used a pattern paper that I got from the local spotlight store cut out with the large circles nestabilities.
The bottom sentiment is from the sweet 'n sassy stamp set and that is on a labels 14.
I have colored the teddy bo in with copics and used some sparkle fluff on the pom pom and the tail.
I cut the image out and put it onto foam pads to lift it up.
Well I hope you have a very Happy Mothers day wherever you are!

Happy Mother's Day

I made a card for my mum for Mothers day that is on Sunday and thought that I might enter it into a few challenges that I have seen when visiting blogs...This is what I made
I have used another Teddy Bea digi image and also the accessories. I have colored them with copics and cut out the robe, fluffy slippers, mat and the mirror. I put my own sentiment into the mirror and added some glitter. I have used some dimensional paint for the bubbles and also a little more glitter.
I am not sure what the top paper is and the bottom is just card stock. I have used a stampin up punch for the middle.
And this is the front of the card
I had this paper that looked like wood grain so was perfect for the doors. I have put some gold stickers around the edges and added gold sticker balls for the handles.
I used the spellbinders nesties labels 14 for the front and some valcro strip on one side to keep the doors closed.
The sentiment is computer generated and I doodled around the edge with a glitter pen.
I would like to enter this into:

Hope you all have a great Mother's Day whenever you celebrate it!

"For a baby"

Over at http://thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ they are having a challenge that involves a card for a baby, and when I saw this I thought of the card that I have already made for my friend at work who is having a baby boy in a few weeks. Well why not put that in?
I saw this idea at one of the recent craft shows and thought that I might give it a go myself as I was in need of a baby card. The stamp set is from Stampin up, but I got it from my sister and am not sure what it is called, but it is oh so cute! I have colored each item with copics and cut each one out and placed most of them onto foam pads to give a little lift. I added gold ball stickers for the draw handles and also on the outside of the doors for when the card is closed. The card folds up so you can put your message inside. A congratulations sticker on the bottom draw completes the card!

Another Teddy Bo!

I'm back again with another Teddy Bo card, just can't get enough of these cute images!
and the sketch is
I'm still not getting very good pictures but I will keep trying!
I have colored him in with Copics and have used all my scrap papers to put the rest of the card together.
I stamped my "happy birthday" onto my ribbon and it turned out quite will.
Hope everyone enjoys the Royal wedding and gets lots of crafting done this weekend!

Teddy Bo card

I was over looking at Faye's blog today and saw the card that she made for this challenge and was inspired to make one myself with the same sketch.
I have used a digi image that I got from Bunny bo, they are so cute and fun to colour.
I have used my copics and with lots and lots of practice I am having more fun with them.
I used some lace and bling from my stash to finish off the bottom and a Marther Stewart punch that I recently purchased. I also used my new Verve dies for the sentiment.
Hope you are having a great long weekend and doing lots of crafting!

Sketch Saturday

I have been out of the world of blogging for a few months as every day life sometimes gets too hard!
But I am trying to return....
This is a card for the Sketch Saturday.
Hope I have included all the elements! Sorry the picture is a crap but it is the best I could do.
Hope you have a great Easter break!

Tickled pink monthly challenge

I have to say a huge thank you to Lindsey for her expert advice on how to overcome my red copic problems!  I used the red copic and then a red prismacolor pencil for the shading and not a bit of colour run!
I have used the Lil Lolita Lylah digi for this card and have coloured her in with a mix of copics and prismacolor pencils. When I finished this card I was not sure on the colour of her dress, but then I thought that she looks like a real Aussie girl with her green and gold dress celebrating Christmas.
I have used a sparkly backing paper and the dp is called tradition and gave it a little distressing around the edges. I also used some lace on the middle and some ribbon. I used my new snowflake punch and added a little bling to the middle.
I hope you like my Aussie Lylah! Have a good day everyone!

Christmas with tilda

Well I must say that I have had a fantastic weekend! Went to the Craft Fest in Melbourne and had a ball buying up a storm, some copics to add to my collection, some Christmas papers and other bits and pieces. I did this card with my new tilda, not sure what it is called though! I have coloured it with copic markers and have found that I can use the greens ok but am having lots of trouble with the reds! Does anybody have any good combination of reds?? I am using r20, r22, r24, and r29 but they don't combine as well for me as the greens that I have....any suggestions would be fantastic! I have also used the magnolia noel stamp for her to sit on. I also used a sticker from my stash with a Christmas bauble.
I have done this card to enter into:
Hope you have had a good weekend too!

Baby's 1st Christmas

We have another lovely spring day here and I have enjoyed it to the full! Took the dog for a long walk this morning and this afternoon helped hubby in the garden. And now for some relaxing card making!
I made this card for http://scrapbookboutiquenews.blogspot.com/ that is wanting you to use
Colours Pink, Brown and White....( love these cakes!)
I have used a LOTV stamp and coloured it with my new copic's. I think I may need a bit more practice with them but I am having fun learning! I have used glitter on the hat and pom pom and cut it out and put it on foam  dots. I did the saying on the computer.
Hope you are having a great weekend!
